When body temperature rises above the normal range (98º.4F) it is considered a fever. There are multiple causes and each type of fever has been named on the basis of the causes which trigger it. There can be no fever in the absence of any cause, as a fever is simply an effect of a cause or set of causes.

A fever is when your body goes above its normal body temperature. The normal human body temperature is usually around 98.6 F, though in some people it is a little higher, for others it is lower. It is important to know what your normal body temperature is so that if you do get sick, you can compare it based on your own body's normalcy, not the average. This will allow you to better access your condition.

Common Symptoms

1. Rise in temperature of body heat
2. Perspiration or Shivering
3. Restlessness and agitated temper
4. Pain and soreness all over the body but some limbs may be extra painful and sore

The symptoms of hay fever include itching and runny eyes along with a sore nose which are due to the allergy. Symptoms of grass pollen allergy tend to manifest themselves in the mid part of the year (May to July) and common weed pollen along with mould spores tend to cause hay fever sufferers problems in the latter part of the year (July and August).

Typhoid fever is caused by Salmonella typhi bacteria. It occurs due to unhygienic condition, open sewerage, flies and of course, illiteracy. The disease is very common in developing countries and can affect anyone. The incubation period is between 3 days and 60 days.

Just like the cold symptoms, there are various degrees of severity with fevers. Mild fevers up to 100.4 degrees fahrenheit may be caused by exhausting activities, taking a hot bath or by wearing too much layers of clothing.

In cases like this, there's no need to pull out the medicine. On the other hand, temperatures higher than 100.4 degrees fahrenheit should be taken seriously as it could be a symptom of a severe illness.
